More medical news on C'elle, according to a recent study on the April 2010 cover article of Stem Cells and Development, stems cells that are located in menstrual blood can possibly be a source for stem cell therapies in patients who have had strokes and other disorders of the central nervous system. The 'Stem Cells and Development' article shows that menstrual blood may be an important source of autologous stem cells; a cell type that is a perfect match for the many recipients.

Women have donor cells that are specifically tailored to match the donor completely so there’s always a perfect equivalent. The article acknowledges that cell therapy for these conditions is currently experimental but that one of the hurdles for the therapy has been finding the best source of cells able to treat a large number of patients with the least amount of complications.

Did you know that stroke is the third foremost cause of disability and death in the United States? These statistics are in adults and thrombolytic therapy only helps out about 2% of ischemic stroke patients. C'elle in 'Medical News Today' is partnering with worldwide researchers on pre-clinical studies for the prospective of future therapies that might help with disorders such as breast cancer, diabetes and wound healing care. Can Cellphones Really Cause Brain Tumors?

Can cellphones really causes brain tumors? Cellphones are basically two way radios. When you speak, they convert your voice into radio frequency ( RF ) energy. Radio Frequency which travel to the person being called. Right now, it is not clear what occasional exposure to radio frequency over time can do the body, those studies are just getting started.

Research so far has shown that 22 hours a day exposure to radio frequency radiation heats up the body tissue, which can lead to fatigue, reduced concentration and cataracts. But most people don't spend almost entire day on a cellphone. And evidence indicates there is no increase risk of cancer from cellphones. If you are worried, using a headset or speaker phone will minimize any potential risk, since the antenna area is where most phones emit radiation.
