Healthy Food Is What Our Body Needs

Healthy food is what our body needs. Contrary to popular belief, fruits aren't just for the rich. There are locally grown fruits that offer the same vitamins and minerals at a fraction of the cost. The banana for example which can be bought for piece or per pound depending on the size, this contains potassium, carbohydrates, Vitamin A,C,K,B6,magnesium and fiber. It provides the right amount of energy giving calories without the sodium fat or cholesterol.

Fruits such as bananas can substitute for sweets after your meals, instead of eating cake, ice cream or candies that bring nothing but sugar and empty calories, eat a piece of chilled fruit instead. To ensure maximum savings, buy fruits that are grown locally and are in season, aside from lower cost, fruits that on season tend to taste better when it is not in season for that particular fruit it can be expensive. The secret of finding inexpensive yet healthy food is in learning the basics of good nutrition and applying the knowledge inside the grocery.

Healthy food and healthy eating should always be incorporated in our preparation of meals. I do love fruits and vegetables and I'm teaching my kids to love them too. Thanks for some good facts here.
